US Army Paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team practice close ambush techniques with claymore's and practice indirect fire support close to the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. The deployment is a part of a 3 Brigade rotation to the Eastern Baltic states of Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and Estonia in support of EUCOM (US Army European Command). The nature of the deployments are to reassure our commitment to protecting our allies in the region.
