Hundreds of Polish farmers marched through Warsaw on Thursday to protest Russian sanctions, and the EU agriculture commissioner’s planned visit to the Polish capital.

The protest took them to the front of the Polish Prime Minister’s office and ended in front of the Polish parliament building.

Poland is the EU’s largest apple producer. In 2013, 56 percent of Polish apple exports went to Russia.
